Internet Academy will be offering a summer session once again this year. Below you will find information regarding the summer session program.

  • Summer Session Registration – Monday, May 18th – Wednesday, July 1st.
  • Classes will be available for students who have completed grade 8.
  • A student may take up to two (2) one semester classes (total of 1.0 credit).
  • Courses require a nonrefundable tuition fee of $205 per semester course.
  • The first day of summer session begins Monday, June 22nd.
  • All students must be placed in and begin their course(s) no later than Monday, July 6th.
  • The last day of summer session is Friday, July 31st.
  • Some class sizes may be limited. Register early!
  • iA offices will be closed on Fridays during the summer session.
  • A student taking summer session courses can expect to spend at least 3 hours per WEEKDAY per course.

Credit Retrieval (CR) Course Requirements:

  • Student must provide a school transcript showing the course has been taken, a grade received, but no credit earned. The student will not be placed in their CR course until a transcript has been received.
  • If the student demonstrates mastery of the standards throughout the course, a final grade of C will be recorded and .5 credit earned.
  • If the student desires a grade greater than a C, the student will need to take the regular semester course.
  • The student will complete a diagnostic tool for assessment of previous understanding of the standards prior to beginning the course. The teacher will build a learning plan around the assessment for the student to follow and successfully meet the required standards.
  • A credit retrieval course must be finished in the summer session.
  • Courses require a nonrefundable tuition fee of $205 per semester course.
