Example 2:

Use the following coordinates to draw a geometric figure on the grid below. What geometric figure did you end up drawing? Drag and drop the coordinates ((2,4),
(0,-1), and (4,-1)
) to their correct locations on the grid.

To solve this problem you need to find each of the three ordered pairs or coordinates and plot them on the grid. The plotting of the three points will give you one of the possible two points available for this question.

The second point would be your description of the geometric figure that was designed by plotting those ordered pairs.

To plot the three points, click and drag the ordered pair to the point on the grid. Once you have the three points correctly placed you will see the geometric figure.

Now that you have plotted the three points, the figure you have made is a triangle. What kind of a triangle did you make? The triangle has two sides the same length therefore you have made an isosceles triangle. For the second point, you would need to explain that the figure you made is an isosceles triangle. Be as specific as you can with your answer.
