Example 3:

Complete the picture below, given that line AB is a line symmetry.

To solve a problem like this one, you may want to use tracing paper once again. With your tracing paper, trace the figure and the line of symmetry first.

Once you have the figure traced, take your traced figure and "flip" it so that the line of symmetry stays where it is, but you now have the other side of the figure. This will give you an excellent idea of what the other side of the figure will look like.

Using your "flipped" and traced figure, draw the other side of the figure. You may want to practice making these as it is very helpful.
