Ming's soccer team needs to buy new uniforms. His team has $100 but must raise the rest of the money.

Notice that with this problem there are two questions that need to be answered. Therefore, this requires a two point response. So before you begin make sure that you fully understand what you need to do for this problem.

You are given some information about Ming's soccer team needing to buy new uniforms. His team has $100 and has to raise the rest of the money. You need to state what other information you would need in order to help Ming. Then you need to state how he would use that information to figure out how much money his team needs to raise.

A 2 point response would be sure to answer the following:

Identifying the needed information as the cost of each uniform and the number of players or the number of uniforms.
Indicates that Ming would need to multiply the cost per uniform by the number of players or number of uniforms and then subtract the original $100 to find out how much they need to raise.

Examples of 2 point responses could be the following:

Ming must find out how much the uniforms cost and how many members on the team need uniforms. He would then multiply the cost of the uniforms by the number of uniforms needed and then subtract $100 to find out how much they still need to raise.
Ming has to find out how much the uniforms cost, so she knows what to multiply by. She should take the cost and multiply it by the number of teammates. That's the total the uniforms cost but they already have $100. She should subtract $100 from the total and that's how much her team must raise.

A one point response would include only one of the above items needed for the answer. But of course you are always trying to get the full two points so be sure to include complete answers to both questions!
