When you respond to questions that ask you
to show or demonstrate your understanding of
a certain problem, be sure to do the following:
Be sure you fully understand the problem and
what it is asking you to do. You may need to
reread the problem over a few times until you
feel comfortable working on the problem. Don't
fake your way through the problem!
Solve the problem using the six steps for problem
solving.
In the explanation of your answer be sure to
organize your data and steps to your solution.
Write your anwer in complete well-written sentences
in paragraph form. Make sure that your thoughts
and steps are in the correct order in your explanation.
Make sure that you reread over your explanation
and try to solve the problem by following your
explanation. Could anyone follow and understand
your explanation? If you can answer yes, you
have successfully completed the problem.
You may also want to use a list, a table, a
chart, a drawing, or other methods to show your
organization and presentation for the solution
for your problem.
Be clear, be specific, and be complete in your
