Practice 2:

You are making a nut mix for a backpacking trip. For every 3 cups of peanuts in your mix, you want to include 1/2 cup of cashews.

  • If you have 21 cups of peanuts, how many cups of cashews do you have?
  • Set your answer up as a proportion to find your solution.
  1. 4 cups of cashews
  2. 3 1/2 cups of cashews
  3. 3 cups of cashews
  4. 2 1/2 cups of cashews
