Summer
School
Internet Academy will be offering summer school once
again this year. Below you will find information regarding the summer
school program. Please continue to check back as additional information
becomes available closer to registration, June 1. Thank you.
- Summer School Registration -June 2-26
- Classes will be available for students who have completed
grade 8.
- A student may take up to two (2) one semester classes
(total of 1.0 credit).
- Courses require a nonrefundable tuition fee of $180
per semester course.
- The first official day of summer school is June 30, 2008 and
the final day of summer school is August 8, 2008. IA
offices will be closed on Fridays.
- Students
will be able to make appointments with teachers to meet
for assistance at the IA lab.
- A student taking summer school courses can expect to spend at least
3 hours per WEEKDAY
per course.

* Credit retrieval
course requirements:
- Student must provide a school transcript showing the
course has been taken, a grade received, but no credit
earned.
- If the student demonstrates mastery of the standards throughout
the course, a final grade of C will be recorded and .5 credit
earned.
- If the student desires a grade greater than a C, the student
will need to take the regular semester course.
- The student will complete a diagnostic tool for assessment
and placement within the course.
- A credit retrieval course must be finished in the 6 week time
frame.

The students may get an early start of June 23rd after 4:00 pm AFTER completing and e-mailing the required orientation assignment.
Teachers will NOT be available until
Monday, June 30th. |
